Box Score FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The 15th-ranked Salisbury University field hockey team rebounded with a 4-0 shutout win over Mary Washington, 4-0, in a matchup between two Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) foes.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Salisbury opened the scoring quickly in the second quarter. Molly Reardon sent a pass in the circle from the wing to Allie Davis near post to one-time the ball into the back of the cage in the 16th minute.
- After back-to-back saves by Dom Farrace, Salisbury went on the counterattack. Kayler Townsend found an open Davis once again near post for a one-timer past the keeper to double SU's lead in the 24th minute.
- McKenzie Jamison gave Salisbury the 3-0 lead in the opening stages of the fourth quarter when she shot a loose ball in the circle into the cage.
- Davis earned her hat trick in the 55th minute. A UMW turnover in the SU attacking zone allowed the Sea Gulls to take advantage of the quick change. A loose ball in the circle found Davis's stick and she put away the shot to give the Sea Gulls the 4-0 advantage,
SALISBURY GAME NOTES
- Allie Davis recorded her first career multi-goal performance with the hat trick. It is Salisbury's first hat trick since Arielle Johnston put away three goals against Mary Washington on Oct. 16, 2019.
- McKenzie Jamison's goal in the fourth quarter put her atop the team leaderboards in goals and fifth in the C2C with six tallies this season.
- Salisbury notched 12 shots with seven on target.
- Dom Farrace made a pair of saves in the win.
MARY WASHINGTON GAME NOTES
- Mary Washington notched six shots with two on target.
- Chloe Billy made three saves in net for the Eagles.

- Salisbury returns home for the final two home games of the 2021 regular season.
- The Sea Gulls host the St. Mary's Seahawks on Wednesday, Oct. 20 at 6 p.m.
