The Eagles came out with two in a row, but Salisbury eventually built the lead back to 11-7 on a Hannah Sullivan kill.
- Mary Washington snuck closer and got within one point on five straight exchanges, but at the 17-16 mark Hannah Einbrod rattled down a kill and Darian DiMatteo landed an ace to get it to 19-16 Sea Gulls to force another timeout.
- The Eagles eventually tied it at 21-21, then after a Salisbury timeout the Eagles grabbed the final four points of the set on a Jordan Lyons kill and three straight Sea Gull errors, securing a 25-21 win.

- Salisbury cut the margin to 9-7, but the Eagles then rattled off seven points in a row, capped by a Browne kill and SU error to make it 16-7 UMW. After exchanging a point each, the Sea Gulls went on a run of their own, scoring the next five in a row as Sullivan's kill got it within 17-13.
