Box Score SALISBURY, Md – The Salisbury University women's soccer team dropped a tight match, 2-1, to Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) rival, Mary Washington on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Just over two minutes into the game, Mary Washington drew a foul in the box. Gracie Williams stepped up for the Eagles and beat goalkeeper Emma Hill on the penalty kick for the first score of the game.
- Three minutes later, Ally Goetz bombed a pass down the field to Autumn Dougherty who slipped past her defender into the box and ripped the ball into the top left corner to nod the game at 1-1.
- Less than a minute later, UMW's Abby Zimmerman found Amanda Krest in the box who took a shot that slip just under Hill's outstretched arms for the eventual game-winner in just the seventh minute.
- Both teams had more chances at scoring throughout the rest of the match, including in the 57th minute when Dougherty got into the box again and found Maia Burger on the far side, but a diving Allison Nork saved the shot from Burger.

- Mary Washington outshot Salisbury, 18-7.
- Allison Nork recorded three saves in goal.
