Box Score BALTIMORE, Md. – The ninth-ranked Salisbury University field hockey team were upended, 3-0, by the second-ranked Johns Hopkins Blue Jays in a midweek, top-10 road matchup.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Salisbury had a scoring chance early on with a pair of penalty corners in the first minute of the game but both of Salisbury's shots were blocked.
- Johns Hopkins got on board first in the 25th minute when Tessa Erickson intercepted a pass and sent a ball ahead to Sadie Abboud for the opening tally of the game.
- Emily Amsden doubled the Hopkins lead in the 33rd minute with a shot in an open goal.
- Maddy Brown-Sherer was involved in her second goal of the game for Johns Hopkins' final goal of the game in the 47th minute on a penalty corner, give-and-go to Abby Birk to put the Blue Jays ahead 3-0 in the fourth.
- The Sea Gulls looked to get on the board midway through the fourth quarter with a two-on-one breakaway but the last Blue Jay defender got a stick on the pass to allow the Blue Jays to reset.
- Salisbury had another scoring opportunity near the end of regulation on another penalty corner. Allie Davis and Rebecca Lloyd both had their shots go off the mark.
