Box Score CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – The Salisbury University women's soccer team used two early goals to hand the DeSales Bulldogs its first loss of the season with a 2-1 win on the road on Saturday powered by a career day in goal by Emma Hill.

HOW IT HAPPENED
· After taking the ball down into the corner, forward Autumn Dougherty launched a long shot at the goal that was just out of reach of the goalkeeper's fingertips and got the Sea Gulls on the board in the 16th minute.
· Dougherty was back in the action in the 33rd minute, with a centering pass into the box to find her teammate, Gracie Checkan, who promptly knocked the ball into the back of the net to give Salisbury the 2-0 lead.
· In the second half, Meghan Foley found Natalie Dorsheimer in the box who beat the goalkeeper to give DeSales its lone goal of the day.
· With just over 5 minutes left to go in the match, the Bulldogs threateaned on a breakaway. Emma Ribeiro was one-on-one with Salisbury goalkeeper, Emma Hill, who made a spectacular save as she charged forward to preserve the 2-1 lead.
SALISBURY GAME NOTES
· Emma Hill recorded a career-high 11 saves in goal besting her previous high of nine, most recently against Washington & Lee on Sept. 12.
· Autumn Dougherty tallied a goal and an assist to lead the offense.
· Gracie Checkan notched her first collegiate goal.
· Salisbury only had one corner kick on the day.
DESALES GAME NOTES
· DeSales had 19 shots and outshot Salisbury at a 19-6 clip.
· Natalie Dorsheimer scored the lone goal for the Bulldogs.

· Salisbury will return home on Wednesday, Sept. 29 to host the St. Mary's Seahawks.
