Box Score SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University volleyball team made quick work of their first opponent at the Sea Gull Classic, sweeping the McDaniel Green Terror, 3-0 (25-15, 25-20, 25-14), on Friday night at the Maggs Physical Activities Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Sea Gulls scored the game's first point and opened up a 5-2 lead on a service ace from Ella Franks. After giving up the next point, SU rattled off three in a row on back-to-back Jenna Feinauer kills and an Amanda Chew ace to make it 8-3.
- The Green Terror kept pace and got back within 13-11 on a kill from Anna Jezerski, but Salisbury found another gear and went on a 6-0 run that featured a pair of Chew kills and two more Franks aces, making it 19-11.
- From there the Sea Gulls put it in cruise control for an easy opening set victory with Hannah Sullivan laying down the clinching kill to get it to 25-15.
- The teams matched each other punch-for-punch early on in set two, seeing nine ties and three lead changes through a kill from McDaniel's Nia Roberts that evened the score at 10-10. SU then seized control by scoring the next five in a row, capped off by yet another ace from Franks that made it 15-10.
- Salisbury kept a four-to-seven-point cushion over McDaniel for the rest of the second set, closing the door at 25-20 when Chew found the open floor for a kill.
- The third set belonged to the Sea Gulls from the get-go. Tied at 3-3, SU took control on an MC service error and scored six straight, including kills from Feinauer, Chew and Angelina Casserly, to go up 9-3.
- Up 11-5 later in the set, Salisbury notched four in a row on a Jackie Mitchell kill, block by Sullivan and Caitlyn Edman, another Mitchell kill and a McDaniel ballhandling error, building the lead to double digits at 15-5.
- SU emptied the bench and the Green Terror never got closer than seven the rest of the way. With the Sea Gulls up 23-14, Hannah Einbrod and Delaney Madsen teamed up for a stuff and Grace Rail served up the match-clinching ace, finishing off a 25-14 third and final set.
SALISBURY GAME NOTES
- Amanda Chew led a balanced Sea Gull attack with nine kills (.238 attack percentage) and seven digs, adding a pair of service aces and two block assists to her well-rounded stat line.
- Jenna Feinauer slammed home seven kills (.778) without an error and clogged up the middle with seven blocks, including one solo block.
- Angelina Casserly notched six kills (.445), while Jackie Mitchell added four kills of his own.
- Ella Franks quarterbacked 16 assists to go along with five digs and four aces. Brooke Young chipped in 11 assists of her own.
- Jensen Haas notched a team-high eight digs on the back line, while Mitchell added seven and Franks and Darian DiMatteo each dug out five.
- Salisbury hit .253 as a team with 33 kills. The Sea Gulls also dealt nine aces, one shy of their total in Wednesday's victory, and stuffed 11 McDaniel attacks for blocks, including two solo.
MCDANIEL GAME NOTES
- Anna Jezerski led the Green Terror with eight kills and five digs, while Nia Roberts and Maddy Bigley totaled seven and six kills, respectively.
- Brenna Campbell notched 22 assists plus seven digs, leading MC in both categories.
UP NEXT
- Salisbury continues its run hosting the Sea Gull Classic with Saturday matchups against Eastern at 12 p.m. and Neumann at 4 p.m.
- The Maggs PAC will also host two neutral matches, with McDaniel and Neumann squaring off at 10 a.m. and Eastern and McDaniel doing battle at 2 p.m.
