Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Women’s Soccer falls to No. 2 Messiah

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. – The Salisbury University women's soccer team fell to the second-ranked Messiah Falcons on Saturday afternoon, 7-0.
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Messiah scored five goals in the first half.
  • The Falcons scored two more goals early in the second half.
  • In the 63rd minute, the Sea Gulls had an opportunity when Lissette Carneiro was found open in the box, but her shot was just high and right of the top corner.
  • Both teams jostled for possession for the remaining minutes and the game finished with a final score of 7-0.
SALISBURY GAME NOTES MESSIAH GAME NOTES
  • Rachael Tirjan and Kylie Firestone each scored twice and tallied an assist.
  • Raegon Salamone got the start and tallied one save in goal.
UP NEXT
  • Salisbury will host Hood College on Wednesday, Oct. 5.
  • Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Sea Gull Soccer Stadium.
