  • Sym Deloatch broke up the run with a layup, then the Cardinals netted the final six of the opening period to take a 22-5 lead.
  • Nadia Bullock drained a trey at the 6:32 mark of the second quarter, breaking up a long mutual drought, then a minute later Brown got the Sea Gulls into double figures with two free throws that made it 22-10.
  • CUA regrouped and built a 35-15 cushion inside a minute to go, but a three from Alex Bull gave SU the final blow that made it 35-18 going into halftime.
  • Ashlynn Burrows converted a three-point play to open the third quarter, helping the Sea Gulls go on a 13-8 push that whittled the deficit down to 43-31 at the 7:12 mark. The Cardinals answered with an 8-0 run to build the lead back to 51-31.
  • Brown hit a pair of jumpers to close out the scoring in the third and bring SU back within 51-35.
  • CUA put the Sea Gulls away for good with a 16-4 run over the first six-plus minutes of the fourth quarter, increasing the advantage to 67-39 with 4:27 to go. The teams traded blows the rest of the way, with Bull hitting a fastbreak layup in the last minute to give the game its final 71-46 margin.
