Box Score WASHINGTON, D.C. – Salisbury University graduate attacker Cross Ferrara broke the all-time scoring mark in SU history as the third-ranked Sea Gulls pushed past the Catholic Cardinals, 14-8, on Wednesday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Salisbury and Catholic traded goals in the early goings with the Cardinals holding an early 3-2 lead after back-to-back goals midway through the first.
- Logan Posner tied the game at three on an unassisted goal with just under five minutes left in the first quarter. Right before the first-quarter buzzer, the Bromwell's teamed up to give SU the 4-3 lead with Brice putting away a feed from Jarrett.
- Cross Ferrara made history to open the scoring in the second quarter with his 250th goal of his career that pushed SU's lead up to two, 5-3.
- The two teams traded goals again in the second before Salisbury went on a three-goal run to close out the half with a 10-5 lead. Salisbury ended the first half with two man-up goals by Posner and Jarrett Bromwell.
- After Catholic opened the second half with a Collin Stein goal, Salisbury stormed ahead with a 4-0 run that was concluded by a Luke Nestor goal that gave the Sea Gulls a 14-6 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
- After a defensive battle for most of the fourth, the Cardinals added two late goals from Ryan Carroll to conclude the game's scoring.
SALISBURY GAME NOTES
- Cross Ferrara led the Sea Gulls with five points on a hat trick and two assists. Ferrara passed Jason Coffman for the most goals in Sea Gulls history with his second goal in the contest.
- Jarrett Bromwell scored a hat trick and added in an assist.
- Logan Posner and Brice Bromwell both finished with three points. Posner scored two goals and tallied an assist. Bromwell scored a goal and dished out two assists.
- The Sea Gulls finished 17-of-26 in faceoffs. Ham McPartland went 15-for-24 in faceoffs and scooped up a game-high eight ground balls.
- John DeFazio led the defense with two caused turnovers and five ground balls.
- Posner, Zack Timmons and Braden Glushakow each scooped up three ground balls.
- Z.J. Shahin started in net and earned the win with 12 saves.
CATHOLIC GAME NOTES
- Ryan Carroll led the Cardinals with three points on two goals and an assist.
- Tynan Hillery led the Cardinal defense with three caused turnovers and five ground balls.
- Nic Pezone started in net for the Cardinals and recorded 18 saves.
UP NEXT
- Salisbury will return to Sea Gull Stadium for the final game of the regular season against Mary Washington on Saturday, April 30
- Opening faceoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. with senior day taking place before the game.
