SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University women's tennis team honored its seniors with a pair of victories over the Stevenson Mustangs and the Ursinus Bears on Sunday. Salisbury opened the day with a 9-0 sweep over Stevenson before an 8-1 win in the nightcap over Ursinus.

HOW IT HAPPENED – STEVENSON
- Salisbury began the day with a clean sweep in doubles. The Sea Gulls won all three matches by the same margin, 8-1.
- The strong play continued in singles as no Sea Gulls lost more than two points in a set.
- Veronica Cuellar rolled to a 6-0, 6-2 win in first singles over Torrienne Emery.
- Sarah Dover and Katherine Tamesis notched 6-1, 6-0 wins in second and third singles respectively.
- Elizabeth Christine breezed by Kera Skove 6-0, 6-1 in fourth singles.
- Sarah Cooper recorded a 6-1, 6-1 victory in fifth singles over Samantha Zudov.
- Hannah Carter registered a clean sweep in six singles, 6-0, 6-0.
HOW IT HAPPENED – URSINUS
- Cuellar and Tamesis notched an 8-3 win in first doubles over Avery Samer and Caitlin Vinsonhaler.
- The tandems of Dover and Christine as well as Carter and Cooper recorded 8-2 victories in second and third doubles to give SU the early 3-0 lead.
- Cuellar registered a 6-0, 6-1 win in first singles over Maddie Russell.
- Dover fought back from a 4-1 deficit in the second set to sweep Claire Burke, 6-1, 6-4.
- Tamesis, Christine and Carter each recorded two-set wins in third, fourth and sixth singles.
UP NEXT
- Salisbury heads south on Saturday, April 9 for a Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference clash with No. 28 Christopher Newport.
- The match is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start in Newport News, Va.
