Box Score SALISBURY, Md. – The No. 1 Salisbury University men's lacrosse team dominated in its War on the Shore rivalry against the Washington (Md.) Shoremen, winning 22-8 on Saturday at Sea Gull Stadium to keep the Charles B. Clark Cup for another year.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Sea Gulls opened the game on fire with a quarter-long 8-0 run. The scoring started with a goal from Cross Ferrara in game's first minute. Jarrett Bromwell added in two goals during the run and Jack Dowd finished it off to give the Sea Gulls an 8-0 lead after the first.
- The Shoremen broke into the scoring column two minutes into the second with a coast-to-coast finish by Jack Winters to reduce the Sea Gull lead to 8-1.
- The Sea Gulls answered three minutes later with a no-look behind-the-head from Logan Posner that made it 9-1.
- The Shoremen in turn responded with a goal from Ben Dickinson, assisted by Winters, that got it to 9-2 at the 9:27 mark of the second.
- The Sea Gulls offense broke out midway through the second with a 4-0 run. Posner scored the first and Ferrara the next two, then Brice Bromwell found Isaac Thrasher for the capper at the 3:10 mark that made it 13-2.
- The Shoremen took advantage of a man-up opportunity with a goal from Brady McFalls, from Logan Clefisch, that got it back to 13-3, but the Sea Gulls closed the half with a goal as Ferrara found the back of the net as time expired, giving the Sea Gulls a 14-3 advantage at the break.
- The Shoremen came out of the break with the second goal of the game from Dickinson at the 10:44 mark of the third.
- After five minutes of back-and-forth play the Sea Gulls finished the third quarter strong with another 4-0 run, highlighted by two Posner goals, both assisted by Thrasher, to make it 18-4.
- The fourth quarter started with the second goal of the day from the Shoremen's McFalls. Brice Bromwell scored his second goal of the day less than minute later to answer, then McFalls answered Bromwell with his third goal of the day to reduce the Sea Gull lead to 19-6 with 13:03 to go.
- The Sea Gulls finished up their scoring for the day with a 3-0 run, highlighted by a Ty Keaton goal with 7:29 remaining in the fourth that pushed the lead to 22-6.
- After a Sea Gull major penalty, the Shoremen took advantage of the long man-up opportunity with two goals from Logan Clefisch and Luke Brennan to close the scoring for the game.
SALISBURY GAME NOTES
- Cross Ferrara led the Sea Gulls with six goals and scooped up five ground balls. With 240 career goals, Ferrara is now just nine goals away from tying the Salisbury men's lacrosse all-time record (Jason Coffman, 249).
- Logan Posner and Jarrett Bromwell each added in six points. Posner finished with five goals and an assist, while Bromwell scored a hat-trick and dished out three assists.
- Brice Bromwell tallied a career-high five points with two goals and three assists.
- The Sea Gulls finished 23-of-32 in faceoffs. Ham McPartland went 17-of-19 with a game-high nine ground balls, and Eoghan Sweeney added in three faceoff wins with two groundballs.
- Zack Timmons led the Sea Gull defense with three caused turnovers.
- Josh Rotman and John DeFazio each finished with four ground balls.
- Z.J. Shahin picked up the win in net with four saves. Jack Twomey earned time in net and recorded two saves.
WASHINGTON GAME NOTES
- Brady McFalls led the Shoreman attack by scoring a hat-trick.
- Logan Clefisch finished with three points on a goal and two assists.
- Ben Dickinson added in two goals.
- Jack Theriault won five faceoffs with two ground balls.
- Tyler Bishop scooped up a team-high seven ground balls.
- Kyle Gittelman, Chase Orr and Tyler Bishop each caused a team-high two turnovers.
- Ryan Leahy started in net for the Shoremen and made 15 saves. Cole Corrigan earned time in net and made one save.

- Salisbury will host former conference rival St. Mary's (Md.) on Monday.
