NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Salisbury University women's tennis team saw its four-match winning streak come to an end, falling 8-1 at the 25th-ranked Christopher Newport Captains on Saturday afternoon at Eyre Courts.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Elizabeth Christine and Sarah Dover took it to the limit in second doubles, pushing Megan Bauer and Kendra Womack to a tiebreaker but ultimately falling 8-7 (7-3).
- Katherine Tamesis picked up the Sea Gulls' only win of the day on a retirement from CNU's Mia Linam in third singles, who bowed out of the competition while leading 3-0 in the first set.
- Christine battled valiantly in the first set of fourth singles against Anna Campbell, taking a tough 7-5 loss before bowing in the second set 6-0.
