GRANVILLE, Ohio – The seventh-ranked Salisbury University baseball team will commence its pursuit of a second straight national title in the Granville, Ohio Regional of the 2022 NCAA Division III Baseball Championships, hosted by 13th-ranked Denison University. The Sea Gulls begin regional play against the William Paterson Pioneers on Friday, May 20, at Big Red Baseball Field.

- Tickets for each day of the Granville Regional will be $10 for adults and $6 for children and seniors.
SETTING THE STAGE
- The second seed in the four-team regional, Salisbury extends the second-longest NCAA Tournament streak in Division III with its 22nd consecutive regional berth and 27th overall. The Sea Gulls finished the 2022 regular season 30-8 and won the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) Tournament for the second time in a row, defeating Christopher Newport, 4-2, in the clinching game.
- Salisbury earned the lone Pool B at-large bid into the field of 60, set aside for the best team from a non-automatic qualifying conference. The Sea Gulls seek their seventh appearance in the Division III College World Series and are trying to become the first team to repeat as national champions since Marietta in 2011-12.
- Third-seeded William Paterson is back in the NCAA Tournament for the 18th time overall and the first time since 1999. The Pioneers won their first New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Tournament championship since 1997, dispatching Kean, 10-4, in the clincher.
- WPU has made it to the Division III College World Series seven times, winning national titles in 1992 and 1996. The Pioneers made the tournament field 16 times in 19 years from 1981 through 1999.
- For the first time in program history, Denison carries the top seed and hosts the NCAA Regionals. The Big Red bested Wooster, 8-1, to win their third straight North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) title. DU has made four consecutive national tournaments since its first-ever appearance in 2018.
- Fourth-seeded Penn State Harrisburg makes its third straight NCAA Tournament appearance and fourth overall. The Lions won the inaugural United East championship, defeating PSU Abington, 10-7, to put their second straight conference title on ice. PSH split two games with the Sea Gulls in Salisbury on March 10-11, winning the first day 6-4 before losing 10-8 the next day.
