SALISBURY, Md. - The second-seeded and third-ranked Salisbury University men's lacrosse team hosts the third-seeded and Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) rival, Mary Washington, on Tuesday, May 3 at 4 p.m. with a trip to the C2C Championship on the line.

HOW WE GOT HERE
- Salisbury finished the regular season with a 16-1 record and a 1-1 record in C2C play.
- Salisbury is 12-0 at Sea Gull Stadium in 2022.
- Salisbury finished the season with a top-20 scoring offense in Division III, scoring 17 goals per game.
- Salisbury is led by Cross Ferrara who leads the C2C in points (94) and goals (72). He finished the season sixth in Division III in goals per game with a 4.25 average.
- On defense, the Sea Gulls are paced by John DeFazio who led the Sea Gulls with 28 caused turnovers. DeFazio finished second on the team in ground balls with 64.
- In net for the Sea Gulls, Z.J. Shahin has been a brick wall with the best goals-against average in the C2C, allowing just 7.19 goals per game.
HOW THEY GOT HERE
- Mary Washington enters the C2C Tournament with an 8-9 record with a 0-2 record in C2C play.
- The Eagles finished the season with a 5-4 record on the road.
- The Eagles averaged 12.53 goals per game this season with 213 goals and 104 assists.
- On defense, the Eagles allowed 13.39 goals per game.
SCOUTING THE EAGLES
- J.D. Nozemack led the Eagles with 81 points on the season with 44 goals and 37 assists.
- Kristophe Newman and Cameron Walker finished the season with 42 points apiece.
- Sam Pugliese led the Eagle defense with 27 caused turnovers and 35 ground balls.
- At the X, John Staugaitis won 247-444 faceoffs with 117 ground balls.
- Riley Green started all 17 games in net for the Eagles with a 50.4 save percentage and 13.23 goals-against average.

- Jarrett Bromwell led the Sea Gull offense with four goals and two assists.
- Cross Ferrara and Logan Posner each finished with five points. Ferrara scored four goals and tallied an assist. Posner scored a hat trick and dished out two assists.
- Joe Carozza added in a career-high four goals.
- Charlie White scored a goal and tallied three assists.
- Zack Timmons led the Sea Gull defense with three caused turnovers and three ground balls.
- John DeFazio scooped up a game-high eight ground balls and caused a turnover.
- Z.J. Shahin started in net for the Sea Gulls, with four saves without allowing a goal. Nicholas Ransom and Matty Back each recorded time in net with three saves, apiece.
- Cameron Walker, Garrett Keogh, and Logan Green each tallied two points for the Eagles.
WHAT'S ON THE LINE
The winner of Tuesday's contest will head to Newport News, Va. to take on top-ranked Christopher Newport on Saturday, May 7. The game time is to be determined following Tuesday's matchup. The winner of the C2C Championship will have an opportunity for a Pool B bid into the NCAA Tournament.
