FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Salisbury University women's tennis team was upended 5-0 in the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) Semifinals by the No. 15 Mary Washington Eagles on Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Veronica Cuellar and Katherine Tamesis along with Sarah Dover and Elizabeth Christine each picked up a point in their respective doubles matches. However, Salisbury dropped all three doubles matches.
- Tamesis fought hard in two sets but was defeated by Lauren Quinn, 6-1, 6-3, in third singles.
- Dover fell to Claire Coleman, 6-0, 6-1 in second singles.
THE WRAP
- Salisbury concludes the 2022 season with a 10-6 overall record.
- It is the 15th consecutive season (non-pandemic shortened) that the women's tennis team has collected double-digit wins.
