MECHANICSBURG, Pa. – The Salisbury University men's soccer team fell to the fourth-ranked Messiah Falcons, 5-1, in a road contest on Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Just before the third minute, the Falcons had a great opportunity to open the scoring. Matt McDonald received a pass right in front of the net and looked to tap the ball in, but Skyler McCarthy made an incredible save to keep the Falcons off the board
- The Falcons scored five first-half goals by five different scorers; Ben Lefever, Jake Lent-Koop, Matt McDonald, Luke Brautigam, and Zackary Venus.
- In the 86th minute, the Sea Gulls got on the board. After a blocked shot, Ethan Dolezal gathered the ball in the box and sent a strike past the Falcons goalkeeper into the bottom right corner.

- The Sea Gulls tallied eight shots with a shot on goal.
- Ethan Dolezal led the Sea Gulls with a goal.
- The Sea Gulls had two corner kicks.
- Skyler McCarthy drew the start in goal and collected eight saves. Zach Walega earned time in net to close out the match
MESSIAH GAME NOTES
- The Falcons notched 28 shots with 13 being on net.
- The Falcons tallied 12 corner kicks.
- Cole Christian added in two assists for the Falcons.
- Jared Pavlovich earned the start in net and Drew Stief played the second half in net.
