SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University men's soccer team fell to Gettysburg, 2-0 in the finale of the annual Elmer Lord Memorial Tournament on Sunday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Gettysburg offense opened the scoring in the 10th minute. Thomas Muller sent a pass into the box and Jack Carroll sent a rocket into the back-left corner of the net to give the Bullets an early goal lead.
  • The Bullets did not stop there, as they added another goal just five minutes later. Muller sent a deep ball towards the box and Athi Mszia gathered the ball and sent the ball into the back-left corner to extend the Bullets lead, 2-0.
  • In the 28th minute, the Sea Gull offense had a great chance to get on the board. Ryan Callaghan found a streaking Stephen Welsh headed towards the box and Welsh sent a blistering shot that looked to be headed into the back of the net, but the Gettysburg goalie made an excellent save to keep the two-goal lead.
