Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Miller’s late finish lifts Men’s Soccer over Dickinson, 1-0

SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University men's soccer team needed just one shot on goal to overcome the Dickinson College Red Devils on Wednesday afternoon as Gavin Miller connected on his fourth goal of the year in the closing minutes to secure a 1-0 win in the regular season finale at Miller Memorial Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Red Devils pressured Salisbury to open the contest, forcing Mason Jones to make a pair of saves in the first nine minutes. Salisbury found their first shot when Josh Williamson fired a shot high and left in the 17th minute.
  • Dickinson outshot the Sea Gulls 3-1 through the remainder of the half, but neither side forced the opposing net-minder into action.
  • The hosts kept the Salisbury defense on their toes out of the break, firing four straight shots in the first 14 minutes of the second half. The Sea Gulls turned the tide in the 66th minute, controlling the ball and outshooting the Red Devils by five over the next seven minutes.
  • Salisbury finally broke through in the 86th minute when Gavin Miller split a pair of defenders and sank a shot low left from the top of the box to put the maroon and gold on top, 1-0. The Sea Gulls held Dickinson without a shot through the final minutes.
