Women dominate as Swimming opens season against TCNJ

SALISBURY, Md. – Thirteen combined Maggs Pool records fell on Saturday afternoon as the Salisbury University men's and women's swimming teams opened their respective seasons against the TCNJ Lions. The women's squad secured a 184-78 victory, while the men fell by a 173-89 tally.

Lily Griffin also stood out for the Sea Gulls as her 50-meter butterfly time of 26.69 set a new high mark for the event.
  • After Schlutt, Maddie Powell, Sadie Hebert, and Alexa Hilty secured a 2:03.70 time in the 200-meter medley relay to open the afternoon's proceedings, the women's side earned its first of several sweeps in the 800-meter freestyle led by a 9:56.22 from Bryn Krasauskis.
  • The women also claimed the top three spots in the 200-meter freestyle, led by Delaney Gibbons' mark of 2:16.49.
