No. 20 Women’s Swimming puts up strong numbers at NCAA day three

INDIANAPOLIS – The 20th-ranked Salisbury University women's swimming team continued to put up strong times at day three of the 2026 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships on Friday at the IU Natatorium.
 
With one day of competition to go, the Sea Gulls find themselves tied for 31st in the championship standings with seven points earned from the first two days in the water.
 
Faring best on the day was the 800-yard freestyle relay team of Alexa Hilty, Rowan O'Donoghue, Jenna Krawlzik, and Olivia Polucha, who slotted 18th in the event with a time of 7:36.13 and missed Second-Team All-America accolades by less than a second. SU also put a quartet between the lanes for the 200 medley relay, with Isabelle Salvatore, Mackenzie Gula, Lily Griffin, and O'Donoghue placing 25th in preliminaries in 1:45.67.
 
Within individual races, Libby Miyashita (2:05.06) placed 21st in the 200 butterfly, while Maddie Powell (1:06.67) took 41st in the 100 breaststroke.
 
The Sea Gulls will finish off the NCAA Championships with the 1,650 free, 100 free, 200 breast, and 400 free relay on Saturday. Prelims at 10 a.m. flow into finals at 6 p.m.
