  • The guests closed the opening period on a 13-6 run, taking a 35-30 lead into the locker room.
  • Cameron Heard caught fire after the break, scoring eight points in the first two and a half minutes of the second period to fuel a 10-4 swing and place the Sea Gulls back in front. After a Bullets free throw, Jordan Oates tallied a successful three-point play to give SU a 43-40 advantage with 17 minutes remaining.
  • Oates was the next player to score, though his basket came over two minutes later. The senior nailed a look from range to kickstart a 6-1 run that extended the lead to eight, 49-41.
  • The sides traded scores in the following minutes, with Gettysburg narrowly outscoring Salisbury 8-6 to slightly shrink the margin to 55-49. The Bullets shook off baskets from Heard and Oates to ignite a 9-5 stretch, bringing the contest within two points with approximately seven minutes remaining.
  • Neither side blinked as the minutes ticked away. Oates and Heard combined for 15 points across the next five and a half minutes to help the margin at three, 76-73, with 90 seconds to go. Heard brought the dagger, netting four important points in the final minute to secure the 80-74 victory.
