  • SU continued with the offense into the second quarter with a goal from Joe Carozza assisted by Brown to improve the Salisbury lead to five at the 10:03 mark.
  • The Spartan offense responded with a two-goal run, led by a man-up goal by Will Harnick from Davis Fisher, to reduce the Sea Gull lead to 6-3 with 6:25 remaining in the half.
  • The Sea Gulls offense punched back again with a two-goal run of their own, finished off by a Cross Ferrara goal by way of Isaac Thrasher to push the lead to 8-3.
  • The Spartans offense finished the first half with a goal in the final minute from Ryan Kazella to make it 8-4 and rode that momentum with the first goal of the second half to reduce the Sea Gull lead to three.
  • The Sea Gulls controlled the rest the third with a three-goal run that was capped off by a Brown goal from Josh Sanchez to make it 11-5 headed into the final quarter. Salisbury then opened the fourth with another goal from Ferrara to push the lead up to seven.
  • York would not go away quietly, though. The Spartans went on a 4-1 run led by two Eric Burbank goals to reduce the Sea Gulls lead to 13-9 with 3:33 remaining in the game.
  • After his own impressive defensive play, John DeFazio brought the ball the length of the field and dished it over to Thrasher, who deposited the ball into the back of the net to put the staple on the Sea Gulls win.
