SALISBURY, Md. – The national champion Salisbury University men's lacrosse team collected academic awards for the Coastal Lacrosse Conference (CLC) and the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) as the two organizations announced their All-Academic and Scholar All-Americans respectively.
Salisbury had three players represented on the USILA Scholar All-American Team.
Zach Timmons,
Braden Glushakow and
Jack Dowd were each recognized as Scholar All-Americans.
Dowd, who collected First-Team All-American honors from the USILA, Intercollegiate Men's Lacrosse Coaches Association, USA Lacrosse and Inside Lacrosse, finished third on the Sea Gulls with 71 points on 48 goals and 23 assists. He also led the team with eight man-up goals during the season.
A leader of the defensive line for the Sea Gulls, Timmons recorded career-highs in caused turnovers (52) and ground balls (70). He ended the regular season third in the CLC with 2.17 caused turnovers per game. After the season, Timmons picked up All-American nods from USILA, Inside Lacrosse and USA Lacrosse.
Glushakow, the SU Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year, played a major role in the defensive midfield. He recorded a career-high in ground balls with 33 and also added 19 caused turnovers with three goals.
A USILA Scholar All-American must be nominated by his coach and be a student with a senior-year academic standing and a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. He will have behaved in a manner that has brought credit to himself, his institution, and to college lacrosse both on and off the field. He must also be an All-American, a member of a North/South team, or an outstanding league or conference player.

To qualify, a student-athlete must be enrolled full-time in their respective institution and possess a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or better.
The Sea Gulls capped off its 2023 season with a 17-12 win over Tufts on May 28 to earn the program's 13th national championship in program history. Salisbury finished the season 23-1, including a run of 20 straight wins to capture the Division III crown.
The 13 national championships are tied for the most in Division III men's lacrosse history with Hobart.
