ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Salisbury University men's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision against the Muhlenberg College Mules on Tuesday evening in Allentown, Pa.
The hosts put two shots on target in the first five minutes to test the Sea Gulls early. A relatively quiet half was interrupted when the Sea Gulls (5-6-2) grabbed the momentum in the 41st minute, firing two accurate attempts and earning a pair of corner kicks in just over two minutes to pressure the Mules.
The Mules (8-3-3) benefited from a Sea Gull handball in the closing seconds of the half, taking a 1-0 advantage to the locker rooms. The hosts scored in the third minute of the second period to grow the lead to two.
Salisbury fired five more shots in the second half, but the Muhlenberg defense held late to protect the two-goal win.

- Alex Floyd and Jake Trama each put a shot on goal in the contest.
- Clif Nehman made four saves across the full 90 minutes.
- Tuesday's match was the first ever between the Mules and Sea Gulls.
Salisbury returns home on Saturday, Oct. 19 for Senior Day against Christopher Newport. Kickoff against the Captains is set for 3 p.m. at the Gerry DiBartolo Sea Gull Soccer Complex.
