GLASSBORO, N.J. – The Salisbury University women's swimming team won its third straight dual meet to open the season, besting the Rowan Profs, 152-110, in Saturday afternoon's New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) battle at the Tony Lisa Natatorium.
MEET NOTES
- Mackenzie Gula captured gold medals in all four of her events on the day, including individual victories in the 50-yard freestyle (24.74), 100-yard free (54.44), and 200-yard free (1:59.05).
- Sydney McCallie also went 4-for-4 in her races, earning solo golds in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:08.99), 200-yard breast (2:27.94), and 200-yard individual medley (2:12.50).
- Jenna Krawlzik touched first in both the 500-yard freestyle (5:23.19) and the 1,000-yard freestyle (personal-best 10:58.13) for a pair of gold medals.
- Olivia Polucha earned the gold in the 200-yard butterfly (2:13.23).
- Delaney Gibbons medaled three times, including a solo silver in the 100-yard backstroke (1:02.98) and a bronze in the 200-yard back (2:16.05).
- Gibbons, Samantha Watson, Lily Griffin, and Elizabeth Perry teamed up for a second-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay (1:51.91).
- The Sea Gulls won the 400-yard freestyle relay in nearly three seconds, with Rachel Rickabaugh, Perry, Gula, and McCallie combining to post a 3:39.55 mark. Gula's split of 54.00 seconds topped the quartet.
- Salisbury left the pool with 23 total medals, including 10 golds, four silvers, and nine bronzes.
The Sea Gulls will look to extend their winning streak to four in their home debut next Saturday against fellow Delmarva Peninsula outfit Washington College. The first event from Maggs Pool is set for 1 p.m.
