TERRE HAUTE, IN. - Salisbury University women's cross country athlete
Rachel Roberts competed in the 2024 NCAA Division III National Championship race on Saturday afternoon at the LaVern Gibson Cross Country Course.
Roberts completed the Championship 6k with a time of 23:41.6, placing 259th out of 293 runners nationwide. Roberts, a junior from Marriottsville, Md., finished 13th at the Mid-Atlantic Regional race in Lock Haven, Pa., last Saturday, earning All-Region honors with a time of 21:41.0. She qualified for the championship race as an individual at-large selection. Roberts, along with earning All-Region, earned First Team All-Conference from the C2C.
"This was a good conclusion to a wonderful season," head cross country coach
Jim Jones said. "Earning All C2C, All-Region, and qualifying to the NCAA championships show the level Rachel has elevated herself to this year. I'm very proud of all her accomplishments this year."
