Women's basketball picks up road win over Gallaudet

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Salisbury women's basketball program has now won three in a row after taking down Gallaudet 65-57 on the road Saturday afternoon. 

The Sea Gulls trailed 15-13 at the end of the first quarter but outscored Gallaudet 17-13 in the second earning a two-point lead at the halftime break. The offense relied heavily on Nicole Miller and Kayla Nieberlein in the first half as they combined for 21 of the 30 first-half points for SU.

Miller ended the game with 19 points and four assists while Neiberlein tallied 14 points, four rebounds, and three blocks. Abby Plaugher also had 19 points for Salisbury with 14 of those coming in the second half which helped lift the Sea Gulls to victory closing the door on Gallaudet. Plaugher added six rebounds while shooting 50 percent from the floor. 

The Sea Gulls outscored Gallaudet by four in the third taking a six-point lead into the fourth which proved to be enough.

Game Notes
- Tori Rumbaugh led the Sea Gulls with six assists while adding four steals
- Jen Juhring posted four rebounds, four assists, four steals, and two blocks
- SU posted 23 points off turnovers and 23 points off the bench

The Sea Gulls are back on the road against Stevenson on Dec. 4th at 6 p.m.
