The Sea Gulls then finished second as a team at the NJAC Championships in February, capping their first campaign in the league with a silver medal.
Gude, a sophomore from Sykesville, Md., won a pair of individual silver medals at the NJAC Championships. In the 500-yard freestyle she set a program record with a time of 5:08.91, just three seconds off the top mark. In the 1,650-yard freestyle, Gude took second place in 17:42.63.
Griffin, a freshman from Taneytown, Md., earned her own silver medal in the 200-yard butterfly in 2:06.64. Her 57.16-second time in the 100-yard butterfly was good enough for third place.
Totaro, a junior from Catonsville, Md., finished just behind Gude in the 1,650-yard freestyle, clocking in at 17:44.03 for the bronze medal.
Powell, a freshman from Fairfax, Va., captured the bronze in the 200-yard breaststroke in a time of 2:22.18.
In the 400-yard medley relay, Schlutt (Fr. – Maple Valley, Wash.), Watson (So. – Holbrook, N.Y.), Griffin, and Hilty (So. – York, Pa.) established a new program record of 3:55.23 to win the silver medal. Schlutt's 100-yard backstroke time of 58.92 seconds within the medley also set a new school record.
In the 200-yard medley relay, Schlutt, Watson, Hebert (Fr. – Damascus, Md.), and Griffin grabbed a spot on the podium with a third-place finish at 1:46.31. Griffin's 23.83-second split was tops among the quartet.
