SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University football program picked up a huge win over No. 18 Muhlenberg College 59-38 Saturday afternoon inside Sea Gull Stadium on their annual Special Olympics Maryland Lower Shore Fundraiser game.
59 points in a game for the Sea Gulls is the most at home since a Sweet 16 match-up in the NCAA playoffs when they put up 62 against Union in 2019. 648 total yards of offense is the most since 2018 when they put up 662 against Albright.
Salisbury (2-0) struck first as
Dario Belizaire scampered in from eight yards out after an eight-play drive. Muhlenberg (1-1) put together an 11-play drive to tie the game at seven following the Sea Gulls opening score.
The teams traded blows in the first half to 21 all before
Ronald Clark busted an 86-yard touchdown run giving the Sea Gulls a 28-21 advantage. Salisbury came up with a big stop before the half forcing the Mules to settle for a field goal.
With under two minutes left before halftime, Salisbury drove the field and tacked on another touchdown extending its lead to 35-24 at half. Quarterback

Belizaire for an 11-yard touchdown.
The Mules stormed out in the second half scoring on the second play of the drive from 61-yards out. They then took the lead 38-35 with nine minutes to play in the third quarter. After losing the lead to the Mules, the Sea Gulls would outscore them 24-0 to finish the contest and pick up a ranked win at home.
GAME NOTES
- Katzenell-Hall threw for three touchdowns and 174 yards
- Clark tallied 180 yards rushing with two touchdowns
- Michael Cox added a touchdown with 49 yards rushing
- Micah Brubaker, who set the school record for receiving yards in a game last week with 206, had 101 yards with a touchdown while Daniel Clark also added a receiving touchdown
- Belizaire totaled 107 yards and three total touchdowns
- Malachi Baker and Carlton Johnson both picked off passes for the Salisbury defense
- Jayden Jones and Nero Schrader both tallied seven tackles each leading the team
The Sea Gulls are back in action when they travel to No. 7 Johns Hopkins on Sep. 21
st with kickoff set for 2 p.m.
