Game Recap: Women's Soccer | | Nick Lewis

Women’s Soccer ends in scoreless draw with Washington (Md.)

CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Ninety minutes proved not enough to crown a winner on Wednesday evening as the Salisbury University women's soccer team ended in a scoreless tie with the hosting Washington (Md.) Shorewomen on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby Jr. Stadium.

Washington took the momentum in the early going, forcing a pair of saves by Salisbury keeper Riley Pinato in the first 15 minutes. The Shorewomen put three of their 10 first-half shots on goal while holding the Sea Gulls to two tries.

Salisbury flipped the script in the second period, outshooting the hosts 11-2 and forcing six second-half stops by the Washington goalkeeper, but the Shorewomen defense avoided conceding the potential game-winner.
