Field Hockey – 4th | Penn Monto/NFHCA Division III Coaches Poll, Oct. 28
Salisbury (13-2) held the line at the four-hole with 406 points, narrowly besting fifth-ranked Tufts (405) and trailing only Christopher Newport (475), Johns Hopkins (455), and Babson (438). SU also moved up to seventh in the latest
NCAA Power Index.
The Sea Gulls clinched the top seed in next month's State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Tournament, steamrolling New Paltz 6-0 on Saturday to complete a perfect 5-0 run through league play.
Kaitlyn DeModna scored two goals en route to capturing SUNYAC Offensive Player of the Week laurels.
SU will close out the regular season with a pair of key non-conference tilts, playing host to No. 14 Rowan on Wednesday at 6 p.m. before headed up to face No. 23 TCNJ in Saturday's finale.

Salisbury (7-0) maintained its top-five status with 489 points after getting jumped by fourth-ranked Bethel (511) and holding off sixth-ranked Hardin-Simmons (482). SU also did some serious movement
in the new NPI rankings, jumping from 11th to sixth over the previous week.
The Sea Gulls pulled out a key road victory in New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) play, outlasting upset-minded Rowan 31-28 on Saturday. With the score tied 21-21 after three quarters,
Darrell Walter rushed it into the end zone from 14 yards out to put SU ahead to stay and extend its regular-season winning streak to 19 games.
SU will hold its Senior Day game against NJAC foil William Paterson on Saturday, with a 1 p.m. kickoff from Sea Gull Stadium to follow the ceremony.
Volleyball – 23rd | NCAA Power Index Ranking, Oct. 26
Salisbury (24-5) strengthened its NCAA Tournament case, scooted up from 23rd to 21st with a metric of 61.451, slotted between UW-Whitewater (61.460) and Gustavus Adolphus (61.066). SU also garnered 50 votes in the newest AVCA poll, good for a
de facto No. 31 coaches' ranking.
The Sea Gulls rolled their winning streak over to nine matches by taking down Marymount (Va.), Arcadia, and York (Pa.) during the week.
Gwen Eustace won her second straight Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) Offensive Player of the Week award and fourth this season by landing 38 kills to the tune of a .679 swing rate.
Winners of 19 of the last 21, SU will close out its home slate with a Senior Day tri-match on Saturday, facing C2C rival Mary Washington at 1 p.m. before jousting with (NPI) 13th-ranked Lynchburg at 5 p.m.

The Sea Gull men (568.50) and women (520.30) each maintained top-30 analytic bona fides through an idle weekend. Both Salisbury teams return to the water on Saturday, hosting NJAC rival Rowan at 12 p.m. inside Maggs Pool.
