SALISBURY, Md. –
Brooke Spadin unleashed a right-footed cannon into the upper 90 in the 64th minute to propel the Salisbury University women's soccer team to a 2-0 victory over the Gettysburg College Bullets.
Both sides kept the battle at a slow pace in the first half, with
Riley Kinzeler making one stop in the early going, while the Sea Gulls mustered two shots on target that were both stopped.
Lauren Chesney had green grass all around her and left a pass for Spadin, whose exquisite finish put the maroon and gold in front.
After multiple saves in the 80th minute, Kinzeler sent a boot three-quarters of the way down the field, connecting with
Jordan Edwards, who found nylon to put the game on ice.
