OWINGS MILLS, Md. – The Salisbury University women's soccer program shut out its opponent for the third straight game and outshot the Stevenson University Mustangs 20-6 in a 0-0 draw on Tuesday night.
The Sea Gulls set the tone in the first ten minutes with shots on goal from
Ava Wheeler and
Jordan Edwards being saved. In between those two chances, a bid from
Ashley Pantano careened off the crossbar.
Olivia Pasko and
Lauren Chesney tested Stevenson keeper Isabella Serano later on in the half to no avail. Altogether, the maroon and gold led the shot battle 12-1 at the end of the first frame.
Riley Kinzeler kept the game scoreless in the 78th and 82nd minutes by denying the Mustangs' only two shots on target of the evening. Edwards and Pantano each had chances at goal that were rejected in the waning minutes of the contest.

The Sea Gulls go to Virginia Beach to battle the Regent University Royals on Friday. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex.
