Women’s Soccer draws even with No. 14 CNU on Senior Day

SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University women's soccer team honored six seniors before Saturday's 0-0 tie with the No. 14 Christopher University Captains at the Gerry DiBartolo Sea Gull Soccer Complex.

Shots were split 3-3 in the first session, with Ryan Tursellino, Rebecca Fairbanks and Samantha Root tallying shots on target. On the other end of the pitch, Riley Kinzeler made one save.

Ashley Pantano had the best look for the Sea Gulls of the afternoon with a header that just soared over the crossbar in the 60th minute. Following the chance from Pantano, CNU unleashed 12 shots in the final 30 minutes. Kinzeler and the defensive unit stood tall, keeping the game scoreless.

GAME NOTES
  • Pantano recorded two shots on goal.
  • Kinzeler made four saves in her sixth shutout of the season, the most since Emma Hill '21 collected eight during the 2019 season.
  • Before the match, the program honored its six seniors: Alex Jankowski, Tursellino, Pantano, Olivia PaskoMegan Stoll, and Joi Fleming.
