NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The Salisbury University men's and women's track and field teams opened the indoor season in style, breaking two school records at the Christopher Newport University Holiday Open on Saturday at the Freeman Center.
Anna Bodmer continues her run of dominance, setting new school records in the 1-mile and 3000-meter events.
Women Meet Notes
- Bodmer tallied a time of 5:06.93 in the 1-mile for the school record and a time of 10:12.09 in the 3000-meter for her second school record of the day.

Camryn Russum and
Kilian Dziepak earned 2nd and 3rd place in the 5000-meter run with times of 19:35.00 for Russum and 20:59.71 for Dziepak.
- Along with Bodmer, the Sea Gulls dominated the mile run.
Peri Nelson earned 2nd at 5:43.12, while
Kristen Riddell placed 3rd at 5:44.28.

Brooke Hamer took home 1st in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.46, while
Kennedy Atkins placed 2nd at 9.55.
- In the 400-meter,
Emma Smyser placed 1st at 1:01.10 and
Jenna Howe earned 2nd at 1:02.31.

Aubrey Jackson-Bowen earned a 3rd-place finish in the 60-meter with a time of 8.20.

Addison Curry tallied 2nd in the 800-meter at 2:35.46.

Marlyse Haack earned 1st in the 200-meter with a time of 26.44.
- The Sea Gulls took home the top three spots in the 3000-meter run. Bodmer placed first with the school record and was followed by
Madi Sisson in 2nd with a time of 11:07.14.
Leah Snyder earned 3rd at 11:31.48.
- The 4x400 team of
Lilly Williams, Haack, Howe, and Smyser struck gold with a time of 4:08.96.

Sofia DelRosso-Freeman tallied 3rd in the pole vault at 2.54 meters (8-04.00).
- Salisbury took home the top two spots in the long jump with
Mia Hill and Haack. Hill placed 1st at 5.48 meters (17-11.75), while Hacck earned 2nd at 5.33 meters (17-06.00).

Emma Christman earned 3rd in the triple jump at 10.27 meters (33-08.50)
Men Meet Notes
- SU placed two in the top three of the 5000-meter run.
Gabe Riling earned 2nd at 15:57.34, while
Landon Lewicki placed third with a time of 16:04.15.
- The Sea Gulls also placed two in the top three of the 1-mile.
Cormac Moroney took home 1st with a time of 4:27.13, while
Dalton Fink tallied 3rd at 4:38.14.

Jair Clinton took home gold in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.76.
- Taking two of the top three spots continued for SU in the 400-meter.
Isaiah Rivera placed 1st at 51.31, and
Hayden Myers tallied 2nd at 51.71.

Kai Smith earned 1st in the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.83, while
Javian Wise placed 2nd at 7.02.

Justin Freeman placed 1st in the 800-meter with a time of 1:57.45.
Graham Schultz earned 3rd at 2:01.13.

Mason Cassady earned a 3rd-place finish in the 200-meter with a time of 23.30.
- Salisbury took home the top three spots in the 3000-meter run.
Tristan Dutton tallied 1st with a time of 8:57.51,
Connor Kinch earned 2nd at 9:03.82, while
Seth Barron posted 3rd with a time of 9:14.81.
- Two 4x400 teams earned 1st and 3rd for the Sea Gulls.
Samuel Bradley, Myers, Rivera, and
Andrew Osler took home 1st with a time of 3:29.81, while the team of Freeman,
Justin Friscia, Moroney, and Schultz earned 3rd at 3:34.64.

Mason Breeze tallied 3rd in the weight throw at 15.32 meters (50-03.25).

Ryan Gorman placed second in the high jump at 1.82 meters (5-11.50).

Peyton Dill secured 3rd in the pole vault at 3.68 meters (12-00.75).

Logan Aldridge tallied 3rd in the shot put at 14.20 meters (46-07.25).

Jon Alicea took home gold in the triple jump with a jump of 13.84 meters (45-05.00).
The Sea Gulls return after the holidays, traveling to Fairfax, Va., for the Patriot Games on Jan. 30th and 31st.
