Carrie Jacoby earned All-Region First Team honors, while Sydney Adolfson, Ellen Stockman, Emily Stockman, and Jillian Dawson all earned Second Team honors. Emily Challender rounded out the All-Region team for the Sea Gulls, earning Third Team.
Jacoby, the senior from Lusby, Md., posted a .442 batting average starting every game for SU this year. Jacoby led the Sea Gulls in batting average and hits and was tied for first in doubles. She posted 53 hits in 120 at-bats with 44 RBIs and eight home runs.
Adolfson, the sophomore from Newtown, Conn., posted a 20-3 record in the circle this season for the Sea Gulls, which included seven complete-game shutouts. She appeared in 30 games, making 23 starts. Adolfson racked up 90 strikeouts with a 1.12 ERA and three saves. She also tallied four hits and two RBIs at the plate in 18 appearances.
El. Stockman, the senior from Brunswick, Md., also started all 42 games for the Sea Gulls, earning a .397 batting average with 54 hits, 12 doubles, five home runs, and 33 RBIs. She set career-highs in every statistical category this season. El. Stockman also debuted in the circle this season for SU, posting nine innings in four appearances, earning one win with a 1.56 ERA.
Dawson, the senior from Middletown, Del., posted a .373 batting average with 41 hits, six doubles, three triples, and one home run. Her first career home run came in the NCAA Regionals in her 350th at bat, 150th career game, and in extra innings. She also posted an on-base percentage of .410 with 12 stolen bases and a 1.000 fielding percentage.
Em. Stockman, the senior from Brunswick, Md., started every game behind the plate for the program, earning a .346 batting average with 46 hits, 12 doubles, one triple, 12 home runs, and 43 RBIs. She led the team in home runs, RBIs, and total bases.
Challender, the senior from Lumberton, N.J., also started all 38 games for the Sea Gulls as the everyday third baseman. She racked up a .361 batting average on 43 hits with eight doubles, two triples, two home runs, 16 RBIs, and a team-high 24 stolen bases, which also set a career-high for her. Challender also led the Sea Gulls in on-base percentage at .506, earning 21 walks, which included 16 hit by pitch.
