Women’s Soccer bested by No. 22 Johns Hopkins

BALTIMORE, Md. – The Salisbury University women's soccer team suffered a loss on Wednesday at Homewood Field against the No. 22 Johns Hopkins University Blue Jays 4-1.

The Blue Jays took an early lead by scoring back-to-back goals in the early minutes of the contest. The Sea Gulls answered back in the 29th minute courtesy of a Skylar Williams left-footed strike that got deflected en route to the back of the net.

A response from Hopkins came minutes later, and the Blue Jays pulled away with a fourth goal at the start of the second half.

GAME NOTES
  • Williams notched her second goal of the season.
  • Jordan Edwards fired one shot.
  • Hayle Foreman made six saves across 90 minutes between the pipes.
The Sea Gulls continue their road trip on Saturday when they take on Bridgewater (Va.). Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. inside the Bridgewater Soccer Complex.
