Second-half goal haunts Women’s Soccer in loss to Bridgewater (Va.)

BRIDGEWATER, Md. – The Salisbury University women's soccer team conceded in the 52nd minute and dropped its matchup on Saturday against the Bridgewater College Eagles 1-0 inside of Bridgewater Soccer Complex.

Sea Gulls keeper Hayle Foreman thwarted the only shot on goal for either side in the first segment, keeping the game scoreless into the half.

The Eagles found nylon seven minutes into the second frame from Laura Narby from distance. The Sea Gulls generated chances from Ashley Pantano and Lauren Chesney, but they came to no avail.

  • Foreman made one save.
The Sea Gulls return home on Wednesday to welcome the Virginia Wesleyan University Marlins. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. inside the Gerry DiBartolo Sea Gull Soccer Complex.
