SALISBURY, Md. – Two Salisbury University student-athletes became this week's Jersey Mike's A Sub Above Players of the Week by securing hardware from the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C).
Men's Soccer's
Noah Blankensop produced the team's first C2C Offensive Player of the Week nod for the season, while cross country's
Anna Bodmer took home C2C Women's Athlete of the Week.
Noah Blankensop | C2C Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week | First Career
Blankensop [Fr. – Salisbury, Md. (Bennett)] made the most of his first career start on Saturday against Messiah, scoring one goal and assisting on another in the Sea Gulls' 4-0 win. Blankensop's throw-in into the box set up the first goal of the match off the foot of
Jacob Rarig, and Blankensop himself found the back of the net for SU's third goal. The two tallies marked the first points of his collegiate career.
Anna Bodmer | C2C Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week | Second Career (First This Season)
Bodmer (Jr. – Dickerson, Md.) won the individual women's race at the Christopher Newport Invitational on Friday, breaking the tape in a time of 22:21.80. The victory marked Bodmer's first time finishing first in a cross country race for the maroon and gold.
