Women’s Soccer drops duel with No. 20 Carnegie Mellon

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Salisbury University women's soccer team went down early in its contest with No. 20 Carnegie Mellon and fell 3-0 on Saturday at the CMU Soccer Field.

Riley Kinzeler denied two shots a minute after kickoff, but the Sea Gulls conceded twice in the following ten minutes.
 
The Tartans went on to score 13 minutes into the second stanza. Kinzeler closed out the game with two more stops while Abby Mattia's late bid went wide.   

GAME NOTES
  • Mattia and Olivia Pasko each launched one shot.
  • Kinzeler recorded a season-high five saves.
The Sea Gulls go back on the road on Wednesday to face off with the McDaniel College Green Terror. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. inside The Green Terror Soccer Complex.
