SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University women's soccer team dropped the opening game in the Salisbury University Classic on Saturday, 1-0, to the Rowan University Profs at the Gerry DiBartolo Sea Gull Soccer Complex.
The Sea Gulls threatened in the 23rd minute with an
Olivia Pasko shot on goal that was scooped up by Rowan's keeper, Leah Edinger. Rowan put three shots on target throughout the 1st frame that were all handled by
Hayle Foreman.
The Profs tested Foreman with no success in the first 32 minutes of the second half; however, in the 84th minute, Olivia Giordano found paydirt from just outside the box to score the game-deciding goal.

Salisbury will wrap up the Salisbury University Classic on Sunday against the No. 2 William Smith College Herons. Kickoff is set for 12 p.m. inside the Gerry DiBartolo Sea Gull Soccer Complex.
