ST MARY'S CITY, Md. – The Salisbury University men's soccer team conceded a late goal in Sunday's contest against the Washington College Shoremen and fell 1-0 at the Seahawk Classic inside Jaime L. Roberts Stadium.
The Shoremen dictated the pace of the beginning of the game; however,
Clif Nehman stood tall between the pipes, making two saves. Salisbury created chances during the latter stages of the half;
Noah Blankensop fired a rising left-footed laser that was saved by Washington (Md.) keeper Hannes Budde in the 29th minute.
Jake Trama took two tries on the net in the following five minutes, which were both shielded by Budde.
Washington (Md.) came through with the lone tally in the game from a 78th-minute header by Ryan Sharpley.
David Brunetti tried to respond for the Gulls three minutes later, but was denied by Budde.
