Men’s Basketball bested by No. 3 Mary Washington

SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University men's basketball team fell to the third-ranked University of Mary Washington Eagles by a score of 91-62 inside Maggs Gymnasium on Wednesday night.

Jamison Graves started the affair with a three-pointer after Churchill Bounds won the opening tip. Graves put home another triple on the next trip down the floor after Aidan Camper spotted him up to get the Sea Gulls (10-10) the first six points of the contest.

After Daniel Oyediran buried a mid-range jumper, Bounds continued the three-point barrage from the top of the arc to give the hosts an 11-4 lead. The Eagles (17-1) got into the driver's seat by going on a 15-4 run that was halted by a Graves delivery from distance to get Salisbury back within a point.

Mary Washington pulled into an 11-point advantage with four minutes to play in the first half. Graves knocked down a fourth trey of the half to slow the Eagles' momentum; however, the visitors carved out a 47-30 edge heading into the break.

A Jay Randall layup brought the margin to 20 momentarily until Camper picked up his first three points of the game after Bounds located him beyond the arc. Following that sequence, Mary Washington outpaced the Sea Gulls 37-25 enroute to victory.
