2026 C2C Men's Basketball Championship Preview

THE RUNDOWN

The Salisbury University men's basketball team chases its third conference championship and its first since the 2014-2015 season at the 2026 Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) Championships in Santa Cruz, California. The Sea Gull begin its quest on Thursday, taking on Warren Wilson College at 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time. The winner of Thursday's bout advances to face the Mary Washington Eagles, who are the top seed and defending conference champions.

  • Salisbury finished the regular season with a 10-14 overall record in Mo Williams' seventh season as head coach.
  • The Sea Gulls started off the season with a win over Stockton 83-74, leading the contest wire-to-wire.
  • Salisbury stood at 3-6 entering a four-game road trip but took three-of-four, including an overtime victory over Widener. The momentum rolled over into the Maroon and Gold's four-game homestand, where the Gulls took down Swartmore, Eastern Shore rival Washington (Md.), Regent and Penn St. Abington. Salisbury honored grad student Churchill Bounds and seniors Aidan Camper, Daniel Oyediran, Jaylen Shippen and Leon Elung in a 72-68 triumph against Regent.
  • Warren Wilson finished the regular season with an 6-15 overall record, closing out the regular season on a four-game losing streak.
  • The last win for the Owls came against Regent on Feb. 8th, 82-78.
  • Warren Wilson is led by All-C2C 2nd Team selection Tajh Williams. Williams finished third in the C2C in points per game (18.0) and led the Owls in rebounds per game (5.5).
  • This will be the second all-time matchup between Salisbury and Warren Wilson. The two sides met in the quarterfinals of the 2024 C2C championship, ending in a Salisbury 89-67 victory.
  • The winner of the Salisbury-Warren Wilson advances to take on top-seeded and defending conference champions Mary Washington in the semifinals on Friday at 6 p.m. Eastern Time
  • Salisbury is seeking its third conference championship in program history. The Sea Gulls reached the semifinals last season under seventh-year head coach Mo Williams and aim to take the next step in 2026.

Making An Immediate Impact

Junior guard Jamison Graves  took home All-C2C 1st Team in his first season with the Sea Gulls. The Averett transfer appeared in 21 contests and made 20 starts, finishing fifth in the C2C (Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference) in points per game (13.9) on 40.8 percent shooting from the floor.
