SALISBURY, Md. - The Salisbury University track & field program posted multiple personal bests and season bests while hosting the Eastern Shore Challenge on Senior and Alumni Day at the SU Track & Field Complex Saturday afternoon.
Women's Meet Notes
- Salisbury placed four in the top five of the 100-meter dash, led by Karia Forvil, who won in 12.15. Aubrey Jackson-Bowen placed 2nd (12.77), Lilly Williams finished 3rd (12.89), and Riley McGowan took 5th (13.09).
- Marlyse Haack won the 200-meter dash in 25.45, while Jenna Howe placed 3rd (26.25), Riley McGowan finished 4th (26.81), and Aubrey Jackson-Bowen took 5th (27.18).
- Jenna Howe won the 400-meter dash in 58.56, while Emma Smyser placed 3rd (1:05.22).
- Salisbury swept the top five spots in the 800-meter run, led by Peri Nelson, who won in 2:22.92. Miranda Bournique placed 2nd (2:24.34), Addison Curry 3rd (2:33.12), Marisa Servis 4th (2:37.02), and Ava Wagner 5th (2:38.55).
- Marisa Servis won the 1500-meter run in 5:06.03, while Kristen Riddell placed 4th (5:22.31).
- The Sea Gulls swept the top five spots in the 5000-meter run, led by Madi Sisson, who won in 19:07.51. Camryn Russum placed 2nd (19:26.27), Madison McCurry 3rd (19:55.38), Anna Pumphrey 4th (20:10.15), and Kilian Dziepak 5th (21:25.67).
- Hayden Adams placed 2nd in the 100-meter hurdles (15.32), while Kennedy Atkins finished 3rd (15.40), Sophia Richardson 4th (17.22), and Taylor King 5th (17.25).
- Salisbury swept the top three spots in the 400-meter hurdles, led by Taylor King, who won in 1:09.56. Carsen Neuberger placed 2nd (1:17.36), and Alyssa Wohlfarth finished 3rd (1:20.92).
- Salisbury's 4x100-meter relay team of Karia Forvil, Marlyse Haack, Lilly Williams, and Jenna Howe captured the title with a time of 47.74.
- The Sea Gulls won the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 4:22.02 from the team of Miranda Bournique, Addison Curry, Ava Wagner, and Peri Nelson.Â
- Kaitlyn Stevens won the high jump, clearing 1.55 meters 5-01.00, while Hayden Adams and Quincy Rupinta tied for 2nd (1.45 meters 4-09.00).
- Salisbury swept four of the top five spots in the long jump, led by Marlyse Haack at 5.51 meters 18-01.00 (1st). Kaitlyn Stevens placed 2nd (5.19 meters 17-00.50), Hayden Adams 3rd (5.10 meters 16-08.75), and Emma Christman 4th (5.05 meters 16-07.00).Â
- Emma Christman won the triple jump with a mark of 10.83 meters (35-06.50), while Kaitlyn Stevens placed 2nd (10.55 meters 34-07.50) and Sophia Richardson finished 3rd (9.57 meters 31-04.75).
- Salisbury recorded two top-five finishes in the shot put, with Kailey Jarboe placing 4th (9.77 meters 32-00.75) and Alexa Frick 5th (9.73 meters 31-11.25).
- Kailey Jarboe won the discus with a mark of 32.23 meters (105-09), while Lexi Frick placed 3rd (24.47 meters 80-03).
- Hayden Adams placed 2nd in the javelin (31.37 meters 102-11), while Karia Forvil finished 4th (25.48 meters 83-07).
- Lexi Frick placed 2nd in the hammer throw (37.50 meters 123-00), while Kailey Jarboe finished 3rd (35.64 meters 116-11).
- Emma Smyser placed 2nd in the pole vault, clearing 2.90 meters 9-06.25, while Sofia DelRosso-Freeman finished 3rd (2.60 meters 8-06.25).
Men's Meet Notes
- Salisbury placed three in the top five of the 100-meter dash, led by Andrew Osler, who finished 2nd in 10.94. Connor Seabrease placed 4th (11.03), and David Akinboye finished 5th (11.05).
- Osler added a 2nd-place finish in the 200-meter dash (21.76), while Isaiah Rivera placed 3rd (22.01), Connor Seabrease finished 4th (22.43), and Samuel Bradley took 5th (22.57).
- The Sea Gulls swept the top four spots in the 400-meter dash, led by Isaiah Rivera, who won the event in 48.56. Samuel Bradley placed 2nd (49.55), Justin Freeman finished 3rd (49.57), and Sean McHugh took 4th (50.73).
- Salisbury swept the top three spots in the 800-meter run as Dalton Fink won in 1:58.14, followed by Justin Friscia in 2nd (1:58.89) and Ian Moylan in 3rd (2:00.24).
- Cormac Moroney won the 1500-meter run in 3:53.66, while Bradley Helman placed 2nd (4:10.26) and Degenet Riggs finished 4th (4:16.09).
- The Sea Gulls swept the top five spots in the 5000-meter run, led by Tristan Dutton, who won in 15:19.08. Connor Kinch placed 2nd (15:26.06), Landon Lewicki 3rd (15:40.72), Gabe Riling 4th (15:45.11), and Seth Barron 5th (15:48.08).
- Salisbury swept the top five spots in the 110-meter hurdles, led by Jair Clinton, who won in 15.47. Devlin McCollum placed 2nd (15.52), Blake DeLauter 3rd (15.97), Gabriel Kvadus 4th (15.97), and Jeremy Linden 5th (16.17).
- Hayden Myers won the 400-meter hurdles in 55.07, while Jair Clinton placed 2nd (57.84), Kyrian Collins finished 3rd (58.64), and Ethan Strine took 4th (59.16).
- Jason Wolfenden won the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:47.69.
- Salisbury's 4x100-meter relay team of David Akinboye, Hayden Myers, Aaron Dufresne, and Jair Clinton captured the title with a time of 42.22.
- Jadon Gaines won both the high jump (2.01 meters 6-07.00) and long jump (6.52 meters 21-04.75). Ryan Gorman added a 2nd-place finish in the high jump at 1.80 meters (5-10.75).
- Salisbury swept four of the top five spots in the long jump, with Naasir Sellers placing 2nd (6.41 meters 21-00.50), David Akinboye 3rd (6.37 meters 20-10.75), and Jon Alicea 4th (6.28 meters 20-07.25).
- Peyton Dill won the pole vault, clearing 4.05 meters (13-03.50), while Patrick Word placed 2nd (3.75 meters 12-03.50) and Christian Arturi finished 3rd (3.60 meters 11-09.75).
- Jadon Gaines placed 2nd in the triple jump (13.08 meters 42-11.00), while Keith Mazinga finished 3rd (12.72 meters 41-08.75), and Ilijah Wijnerman placed 4th (12.69 meters 41-07.75).
- Salisbury dominated the throws, taking four of the top five spots in the shot put, led by Logan Aldridge at 14.71 meters 48-03.25 (1st). Xavion Fidele placed 2nd (13.92 meters 45-08.00), Kelvin Ruano 3rd (13.90 meters 45-07.25), and Jacob Reeves 5th (12.82 meters 42-00.75).
- The Sea Gulls swept the top five spots in the discus, led by Logan Kelsch at 47.27 meters 155-01 (1st), followed by Mason Breeze (2nd tie), Jacob Reeves (2nd tie) at 43.55 meters 142-10, Logan Aldridge (4th 41.70 meters 136-09), and Xavion Fidele (5th 38.90 meters 127-07).Â
- Jacob Reeves won both the hammer throw (48.29 meters 158-05) and javelin (49.44 meters 162-02). Logan Kelsch placed 2nd (47.64 meters 156-03) and Mason Breeze 3rd (45.64 meters 149-09) in the hammer, while Evan Eickhoff finished 3rd (45.34 meters 148-09) and Zach Unger 4th in the javelin (41.95 meters 137-07).
The Sea Gulls will have one final tune-up before the Coast-to-Coast Outdoor Conference Championships at the Penn Relays, where they will send select athletes to compete in Philadelphia, Pa., from the 23rd to the 25th.
