FAIRFAX, Va. - The Salisbury University track & field program battled multiple Division I, Division II, and Division III programs at the George Mason Dalton Ebanks Invitational. The Sea Gulls tallied two school records on the day, with
Kai Smith in the 200-meter and
Justin Freeman in the 800-meter.
Women Meet Notes
- Anna Bodmer tallied second in the 5000-meter run with a time of 17:12.07. This time earned her 10th in the nation for Division III. Madi Sisson earned 19th with a time of 18:32.91, while Camryn Russum placed 28th at 19:20.30.
- Mia Hill tallied 16th in the long jump at 5.46 meters (17-11.00). This jump placed her 18th in the nation for Division III. Emma Christman tallied 25th at 5.11 meters (16-09.25)
- Leah Snyder earned a personal best in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 11:48.84, which placed her 62nd in the country for Division III.
- Karia Forvil earned 41st in the 200-meter with a time of 25.47, which placed her 33rd in the nation for DIII. Jenna Howe tallied 55th at 25.94, which earns her 77th in the nation.
- Brooke Hamer tallied 26th in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:10.44.
- Peri Nelson tallied 46th out of 70 runners in the 800-meter with a time of 2:21.87.
- Kailey Jarboe earned 23rd in the hammer throw at 37.78 meters (123-11).
- Kaitlyn Stevens and Hayden Adams earned 16th and 17th in the high jump at 1.48 meters (4-10.25), which was a personal best for Adams.
Men Meet Notes
- Smith struck gold in the 200-meter with the school record time of 20.56, which placed him No. 1 overall in the country for Division III. Andrew Osler tallied 18th with a personal record time of 21:79, earning him 43rd in the nation.
- Freeman earned 14th with his school record time of 1:51.86 in the 800-meter, which earns him 4th in the nation currently. Cormac Moroney tallied a personal best time of 1:52.47 for 21st place and 8th in the nation for Division III.
- Tristan Dutton earned 2nd place in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:12.06. His personal best time placed him 6th in the country for Division III. Connor Kinch also tallied a PR at 9:32.67, which earned him 6th and placed him 25th in the nation.
- Hayden Myers earned 15th in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 56.54, which was a personal best and placed him 74th in the nation for DIII. Jair Clinton tallied 23rd with a time of 58.69.
- Landon Lewicki earned 19th in the 5000-meter run with a time of 15:38.34.
- The Sea Gulls tallied four in the top 25 of the hammer throw. Logan Kelsch earned 13th at 46.13 meters (151-04), Mason Breeze placed 14th at 46.04 meters (151-00), Logan Aldridge placed 20th at 39.30 meters (128-11), and Xavion Fidele tallied 21st at 37.48 meters (122-11).
- Ilijah Wijnerman earned 21st in the long jump at 5.78 meters (18-11.75).
The Sea Gulls begin day two of the Dalton Ebanks Invitational tomorrow at 10 a.m. on the campus of George Mason University.
