Brosius garners second CWGC Golfer of the Week honor

SALISBURY, Md. – Following a week in which she helped lead the Sea Gull program to new heights, Krista Brosius of the Salisbury University women's golf team was named Colonial Women's Golf Conference (CWGC) Golfer of the Week for the second time this season, announced by the league office on Wednesday.

Brosius (Fr. – Magnolia, Del.) propelled the Sea Gulls to their first-ever team tournament title by shooting a 13-over 84 at the Elizabethtown Spring Invitational in Hershey, Pa. on Thursday, tying for first in the field of 33 individuals before losing a tiebreaker to settle for the silver medal. The on Monday at the Stevenson Invitational, she carded an 18-over 89, good for a tie for seventh and her eight top-10 finish of the season.

Through 16 rounds across 10 events between the fall and spring calendars, Brosius is averaging a team-leading 83.1 strokes per round with four top-four finishes and eight times on the top 10. She currently owns eight of the nine lowest-scoring women's rounds in the modern program era. This marks the second time this season Brosius has garnered CWGC Golfer of the Week honors after winning once in the fall on Sept. 24.
