SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University women's soccer team opened its home slate with a 3-0 loss to the University of Lynchburg Hornets on Saturday afternoon inside the Gerry DiBartolo Sea Gull Soccer Complex.
The Hornets (3-0-0) jumped out in front early, connecting with the back of the net twice within the first 16 minutes.
Ava Wheeler and
Lillian Hutchings both put bids on goal for the Sea Gulls (0-3-1), that was saved by Lynchburg's keeper.
Lynchburg struck again in the 57th to pull away.

The Sea Gulls wrap up the Salisbury University Classic tomorrow when they face John Carroll at noon inside the Gerry DiBartolo Sea Gull Soccer Complex.
