LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Salisbury University men's soccer team saw its six-game winning streak come to an end on Sunday afternoon at the hands of the tenth-ranked University of Lynchburg Hornets, 5-1.
Both sides traded blows early in the affair. The Hornets (6-1-1) got on the board first with a second-minute strike, while the Sea Gulls (6-1-1) answered back in the 18th minute when
Brogan Eastlack delivered on a free kick to even the score.
Lynchburg carved out a 2-1 edge seven minutes later after finding the onion bag. The Hornets nearly took a two-goal lead into halftime after hitting the post with a minute remaining in the first segment.
Tallies in the 53rd, 60th and 83rd minutes from the hosts put the game out of reach in the second stanza.

The Sea Gulls will take on NC Wesleyan at Captains Field on the campus of Christopher Newport University for a neutral site contest in Newport News, Virginia, on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
