SALISBURY, Md. – Following another record-setting performance to kick off her rookie season,
Stella Jaffe of the Salisbury University women's golf team earned the program's first Colonial Women's Golf Conference (CWGC) Golfer of the Week award of the season, announced by the league office on Wednesday.
Jaffe (Fr. – Whitefish, Mont.) set a new single-round Sea Gull record and broke her own tournament mark on the way to finishing fourth out of 57 competitors at the Bridgewater Invitational on Monday and Tuesday. She opened by shooting a one-over 74 in Round 1, eclipsing her previous program low by two strokes and narrowly missing out on SU's first modern-era even par round. In Round 2, Jaffe carded a seven-over 80, good for a two-round score of eight-over 154 that sat just three strokes back of the tournament winner and eclipsed the program-record 155 she carded in her first tournament earlier this month.
Through four competitive rounds across two events, Jaffe is averaging 77.3 strokes and has recorded top-five finishes at both tournaments. All four of her rounds rank among the 10 best by a Salisbury woman since the revival of golf as a varsity sport in fall 2024.
Jaffe's selection marks the third time in the two-year history of the CWGC the Sea Gulls have garnered a weekly league honor.
Krista Brosius brought home one conference nod each in fall 2025 and spring 2026.
Jaffe and the Sea Gulls are back in action on Oct. 5-6 with the Alvernia Fall Invitational, set to be played in Havre de Grace, Md., at Bulle Rock Golf Club.
